The designer John Barman's Upper East Side apartment is the subject of the New York Social Diary's latest house tour and the abode is decked out in red and white, but alas, no blue. Still, the midcentury haven with peeks at Central Park is quite the urban pad. When Barman first tackled the project it was "a model apartment from the 80s, so there was a lot of peach marble and curved mirrors." Now, the modern mod palace features icons like the Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair and Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Chair, both covered in bold red fabrics.
