The famed jazz musician Duke Ellington might have moved a lot in his youth (at least five times within D.C.), but that hasn't kept his lingering celebrity from moving one of those many houses. Located just around the corner from one of D.C.'s favorite music venues, The Black Cat, the four-bedroom, two-bath row house was listed for $525K. That looks like a deal, even at full price, but the house was offered "as is" and without interior photos, suggesting that interior might need some work. Still, the celeb connection was clearly enough to prompt a quick sale.
