Artist Turns Popular Israeli Hotel Into Building-Size Medusa

New, 2 comments

We were tipped off to the work of Israeli-born artist Victor Enrich last month, but Freshome has offered the opportunity to take a closer look. One of Enrich's photo illustrations—created by snapping pis and then carefully retouching them—captures the Park Plaza Orchid hotel in Tel Aviv, which he "chose to shoot at a time when the building itself hid the sun, creating a kind of halo of light, as if it was an eclipse," according to his project statement. "One of the things that captivates me more are the concrete pieces that serve to shape the windows." Flash forward to something about "jellyfish aliens" and you have the tentacular creation above. There's more eye-popping work over here.
