For Japanese Perfumer, A Sleek, Simple, Immaculate Factory

Were it not for the faint signage, this structure could easily pass for an ultramodern house, but, in Japan, this is apparently what factories look like. The sterile white box is home to Sakae Aromatic, a producer of cosmetic fragrances, and was designed by Tokyo-based aoydesign. Now, the fact that the production of perfumes doesn't involve greasy machinery surly helps keep this place gleaming white, but, even so, the glossy loading bay and glassy laboratory prove the Japanese are interested in something other than the usual box aesthetic.
