House From A League of Their Own Goes to Bat For $799K

New, 1 comment

The grand, gracious Henderson, Ky., Victorian that starred as a 1940s boarding house for Geena Davis, Madonna, and Rosie O'Donnell in A League of Their Own is on the market for $799K. First spotted over at Hooked on Houses, the ultra-recognizable abode was built in 1894 and boasts five bedrooms, nine fireplaces, a restored antique bar, a poker room, and a ballroom, all spread over three floors of living space. (It's likely that certain scenes of the 1992 movie were, in fact, filmed here.) Despite the full-scale restoration touted in the listing, the interiors still look pretty grim; that said, there's no doubt that the right owner will coach the charm right out of this place.
