How Jennifer Aniston Has Influenced Shelter Media:

New, 1 comment

Today WWD reporter Amy Wicks takes a look at how shelter magazines—the print ones, that is—are doing these days. Elle Decor's September issue was the magazine's largest ever, and both newsstand sales and ad sales are up considerably since Michael Boodro took the helm a year ago. As for Architectural Digest, Wicks notes that Margaret Russell—Boodro's one-time Boss—"doesn’t seem to be having the same success as Boodro when it comes to single-copy sales." Ad sales have gone up a bit, but newsstand sales are down, a fact that publisher Giulio Capua blames on one person and one person alone: March 2010 cover girl Jennifer Aniston. Can't compete. [WWD]
