This low-lying brick building was designed to house the owner's massive collection of wine, but, for the architects, was also a chance to subvert the "the conventional idea of a ‘wine house.'" Frankly, we had no idea there was a conventional form of this rare sort of outbuilding, but the structure is notable for its alien temple-like aesthetic. It seems anything goes when it comes to keeping those bottles well guarded in the desert of Paradise Valley, Ariz. [Contemporist]
