An Entire Fifth Avenue Living Room is Now Available Online

New, 1 comment

Now available for purchase online: the pickled solid oak walls from the living room of a Fifth Avenue apartment in NYC. Believed to have been completed in the late 1800's, the woodwork includes secret doors—including one behind a built-in bookcase—and hidden compartments. The wall panels are a full two inches thick and are extravagantly carved. Installation isn't included in the $18,500 price tag, but 80-feet of hand-carved crown molding is included. The original room measured 20 by 20 feet, so, McMansion builders, take note. These walls would certainly add an authentic pre-war touch to a new build.
