A (Private) Jewel on the Georgia Coast, Little Hawkins Island

Sure, it's overbuilt for a private residence, but when you start to think of this coastal Georgian compound as a private resort instead, it seems much more reasonable. That it's associated with the famously luxurious Sea Island resort makes it all the better, but one would be hard pressed to find a reason to leave this spotless waterfront compound. Set behind a pair of gates, the three-acre Little Hawkins Island includes a set of Spanish and Mission-inspired buildings: a sprawling main house, two privately-sited guest houses, and a "club house" with swimming pool, fronting on 700-feet of deep waterfront with a boat lift. Powered by a geothermal generator, the compound doesn't rely on the grid for its electricity. More than 100 pieces of custom furnishings are included in the purchase, but the price of all this is only available upon request.
