Live Like a Rock Star in a Rock Star's Rockin' SoCal Pad

Here now, From Curbed Marketplace, highlighting an intriguing real estate listing from the many thousands of properties found in the Curbed Marketplace. Browsing the Marketplace and spot a property worthy of being featured? Send it to the tipline.

This turn-of-the-century build, perched not far from the beach in hipper-than-hip (and certainly hipper-than-thou) Venice, Calif., lived as a hotel in the '40s and has since been remodeled for residential living. Present are all the features of fancy, yet artsy, existence: 12-foot-high ceilings, concrete and cork floors, exposed brick walls, an open kitchen, skylights, a music studio, a spacious walk-in closet, a "large contemporary bathroom designed by a famous local architect," and, of course, a roof deck with ocean views. Overall, according to the beach-y brokerbabble, it's "the perfect place to entertain or just chill." The seller? Brandon Boyd, front man for the rock band Incubus, who's already scooped up another place nearby. Problem is, Boyd first listed the property for $3.495M in December but has already PriceChopped it to $3.195M. Perhaps all that pressed tin is too niche?
