Inside Sydney's Absurdly Cool Psychedelic Parking Garage

Now that Zaha Hadid, last year's Stirling Prize winner, counts a parking garage among her swooping, swerving credits—never mind ones from Herzog, Calatrava, and Rudolph—you know all the cool kids are doing them. Enter design duo Karl Maier and Craig Redman, who decked out a boring garage in Sydney with a bright optical illusion of a mural. "The installation feels and functions as a complete work in its own right. And the refreshingly cheery interior leaves no dark corners for lurking baddies," writes Belinda Lanks at Co.Design, which has additional photos.
