The Skinny: Halfway between L.A. and Santa Barbara, Camarillo, Calif. might not be the best known luxe location ever, but that didn't stop developer Don Boehm from building the nuovo-Tuscan palace of his dreams there. Boehm, a former professional musician, built the 12,000-square-foot with other musicians in mind: buyers will find a fully equipped recording studio, complete with the developer's guitar collection, which is not included in the $6.9M price, but is negotiable. Boehm, who previously consulted with country star Garth Brooks on the design of his California home, also walled the 2.75-acre estate, added an extensive gym, and even a hair salon to keep budding Dolly Partons looking good. The interiors are nothing if not over-the-top, with Italian-inspired furnishings and frescos throughout.
