A recent heist in which $100M worth of paintings by Picasso, Matisse, and Monet were stolen has everyone blaming architect Rem Koolhaas and his Kunsthal gallery in Rotterdam. Said one security expert, "Once inside the building, thieves could easily walk through the entire museum. There were no extra compartments built for the expensive pieces." It's "a gem of a building," he added, but truly "an awful building to protect." [Dezeen via Flavorwire]
