A geography nerd's treasure trove—specifically, hundreds of thousands of maps—was recently found inside an LA cottage asking $450K. The find was so great, in fact, that the expert at the city's Central Library said it dwarfed even the library's collection. The hoard, found in crannies and crates throughout the home, was donated to the library, which now has one of the most robust map collections in the country. [LA Times via Curbed LA]
