SANAA Snakes West; Giovanni Ribisi Buys; $42M in NYC

NEW CANAAN, CONN.—Tokyo-based architecture firm SANAA has signed on for its first American project since its Pritzker score in 2010: a 65,000-square-foot headquarters and community center for Grace Farms Foundation. Due to break ground in February, the thin, transparent structure resembles a serpent, of sorts, and will meander through a piece of the 75-acre property. Arch Record has more. [Arch Record]

LOS ANGELES—Actor Giovanni Ribisi has dropped $3M on a new home in the Hollywood Hillls. Looks like he'll be borrowing sugar from a couple of very famous people: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who live next door. [TMZ]

CAPE COD—Speaking of impressive tiny homes, Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard are apparently stocked with them. Curbed Cape Cod rounds up five local micro-dwellings, each measuring less than 300 square feet. [Curbed Cape Cod; previously]

NYC—Another Friday, another blockbuster Manhattan sale: someone paid $42M for a penthouse in a new condo building on the city's prestigious Gramercy Park. Curbed NY notes that this marks the biggest sale south of 59th Street, ever. [WSJ; Curbed NY]
