Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: San Francisco, Calif.
Price: $5,000,000
The Skinny: This expansive, 11,000-square-foot mansion is one of the finest in the little-known but quite affluent San Francisco neighborhood of St. Francis Wood. Completed in 1928, the Mediterranean-inspired spread occupies a spacious lot and is distanced from the street by a grassy slope that gives the house even greater visual prominence. Recently renovated and expanded, the house hasn't had as much luck on the reale market as its good looks may suggest. Listed back in 2009 for $5.9M, the place sold in April 2011 for $4.4M, but now it has returned, asking $5M, or just $450 per square foot. Not bad considering the five bedrooms, six bathrooms, fully updated kitchen, and one stunning red lacquered dining room. It's still one of the most expensive homes to hit the market in the city recently, and has a rather disconcerting concrete dungeon that may be spooking some buyers.
