Sculptor Plunks Minuscule Houses Onto Hands and Feet

American artist Katie Hudson's mixed-media sculpture series "Dislocation" puts the American dream not only within reach, but literally in the one's hands. The three teeny, tiny homes—a beach house, a log cabin, and a storybook cottage—were transplanted onto dislocated real-sized hands and feet, making what would be a kind of adorable collection just the right amount of freaky. All this was for Hudson's honors thesis at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. It's hard to say what her intention was with the series, but, frankly, it doesn't really matter. It's pretty cool, even without the artistbabble.
