A number of Cape churches are feeling an added financial pinch as they rebuild (post-fire...) or renovate in line with the Commonwealth's ounce-of-prevention-is-worth-a-pound-of-cure regs: "As of September 2008, a newly constructed church in Massachusetts that is larger than 5,000 square feet or with a permitted occupancy of 300 or more people is required to install an automatic sprinkler system."
