What a year it's been for bad taste, from mansions made to sound better with the label "Chateau" to an utterly insane private island estate owned by pop star-turned -Vegas headliner Celine Dion. Then there's the ornate Brooklyn palace so expensive it threatens to smash borough sales records, a Louisiana castle that would do better as a minigolf course, an Indiana manse so confusing it caused a public outcry from Curbed readers, a Houston home clad with wallpapers of all styles and persuasions, a catastrophic Florida behemoth that just may be the worst house of the year, and this "impeccably detailed" architectural marvel in Mukilteo, Wash.
