Calatrava Does Dallas

March brings the opening of Santiago Calatrava's Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, the starchitect's "first vehicular span" in the United States. Suspended below a single 400-foot pylon, the bridge stretches from downtown to the up-and-coming neighborhood of West Dallas. Something tells us this was much, much cheaper than the forthcoming $3.44B Calatrava-designed WTC transit hub. [Architectural Digest; previously]
