Reopening Mies

Villa Tugendhat, a 1930 masterpiece by the legendary architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, is set to reopen in in the Czech Republic after a two-year, $9M renovation. Preservationists can rest easy knowing that 80 percent of the original features are intact; the team even found one of the home's original bathtubs, missing for decades, in a house nearby.
