Has Midcentury Modern Furniture Truly Hit Retirement Age?

The Barcelona chair, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Knoll, was first debuted at the Barcelona Exposition in 1929, making it 83 years old today. Eero Saarinen introduced his Womb chair for Knoll in 1946, meaning it's just past retirement age. Reaching for the hard stuff yet, Dwell magazine?
