Behold Ikea's Gorgeous New Concept in Food Packaging

New, 2 comments

Turns out you can do more in an Ikea than purchase high-design furniture, get married, or nearly break up with a significant other: you can eat, too! The Swedish retailer, long a purveyor of meatballs and recently a leader in breakfast, as well, has teamed with Stockholm Design Lab to jazz up the look of its packaged foods. According to Co.Design, the minimalist designs use only the font Verdana, which Ikea's blue-and-yellow logo (and in-store signage, catalogs, and all other branded materials) has made famous. The sleek new look will grace canned anchovies, ketchup, pasta, crackers, cheese, chocolate, and more. Below: marzipan and ciders.
