No, this isn't an old photo of a bar in New York from 1999?it's the Evolution Club in present day Bucharest, located in the basement of an 18th century neo-gothic building. With a nearly 70'-long bar made of HI-MACS (a 100% acrylic material similar to Corian), the very Karim Rashid-inspired space (with a light installation à la Dan Flavin) is the work of local designer Sebastian Barlica. And for those whose Romanian is less rusty than ours, an interview with him in and about the space can be seen here.
