Japanese starchitect Shigeru Ban has a new project in New York City, this time atop an 1882 neo-Grecian cast iron building in Tribeca. The plan at 361 Broadway includes adding 14 airy duplexes, which will contain double-height living rooms, massive bedroom suites, and plenty of the architect's signature movable glass walls around the exterior. But all the buzz might be a bit premature: The plan must now go before the Landmarks Preservation Commission for approval. [Curbed NY]
