Mickey Drexler, the eccentric grand poobah of preppy retailer J.Crew, has a taste for luxury real estate. Over the years, the Bronx-born former GAP CEO has amassed a serious real estate portfolio on the east end of Long Island, where he scooped up the former Andy Warhol compound for $30M. Now, he's gone more urban with the purchase of a $13.5M Tribeca loft. Well, it was listed for $13.5M, but Drexler is rumored to have forked over even more during a week-long bidding war. The interiors aren't currently what one might expect from the head of J.Crew, but we're certain the famously particular executive won't have a problem modifying the place to suit his taste.
