Using Ho Chi Minh City's traditional "tube houses" as a template, celebrated local architect Vo Trong Nghia created a slender tower with concrete slats for a Vietnamese-Canadian couple looking to be closer to family. Built for just $150K, the design incorporates greenery into nearly every aspect of the house, including a planted roof garden that is both beautiful and helps to cool the house. [NYT]
