Never mind about that 17 percent July pricechop on Nantucket that we mentioned earlier. We've found a half off listing, actually it's 53.9 percent, over in Centerville. We covered the listing, a former playhouse, a few weeks ago in Curbed Comparisons on converted spaces. There were fewer photos with the old listing, but the new broker has flipped the script and has given us front row seats at the theater (sorry).
Built and designed in 1923 by the present owner's grandmother, the 3,366 sq. ft. stucco tile roof main house, artists studio, and boathouse with dock are on 6.2 acres overlooking the Centerville River. Originally built as a home theater, the stage and studio were converted to bedrooms in 1932. The playhouse has a stage with a balcony, projection booth, and "massive fireplace with hand painted tiles." There's access to Nantucket Sound during high tide as well as a deck overlooking the tidal river and marsh. Yours for $1,590,000.
