Last year, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez set about building what was supposed to be his dream home, a 20,000-square-foot modern mansion on the water in Miami Beach that he built at great expense and with input from then girlfriend Cameron Diaz. Now, the home is finally complete, but A-Rod is looking to cash out already, so he's listed the sprawling mansion for $38M. That might seem a heady sum, but he is said to have spent upwards of $24M building the nine-bedroom, 13-bath spread, which boasts 275-feet of water frontage, two docks, gym with steam room and batting cage, roof deck, and 16-camera security system. Plus, the slugger should know a thing or two about pricing in this part of the world. Last year he advised a spec developer to raise the price on his project to $60M and that mansion later sold for a record $47M.
