Day 3, Round 1: Tamara Kaye Honey vs. Lindsay Joyce

Welcome to Hottest Week 2012, wherein Curbed pits hot (sexy, gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, spectacular, alluring, model-esque, and so on) architects, interior designers, and decorators against each other to determine once and for all who's the hottest of the hot. Stay tuned this week and next as the tournament unfolds. And let the games begin!

Once a buyer for Bergdorf's, Tamara Kaye Honey opened House of Honey, a Los Angeles-area decor shop and design studio, in 2010. Her work, "an artful mix of old and new," has since been recognized by Trad Home, which anointed her as one of the 10 emergent designers to watch this year. Kaye Honey is a self-professed reader of "all the English design shelters"—"I love that there is a real sense of humor and whimsy in the spaces featured"—and chooses Amy Poehler to play her in the movie version of her life. "She truly just makes me laugh and, well, she is short and feisty like me."

A designer who studied architecture at Pratt before graduating from the New York School of Interior Design, Lindsay Joyce is one of the two partners at NYC-based firm 3F Living—the other, you'll recall, is Hottest Week Day 1 contender Zack Sosne. Joyce starts each day with organic juice she makes herself and spends Saturday nights "on [her] roof deck bar with a margarita in hand." An admirer of Tadao Ando's architecture, Philippe Starck's interior design, and NYC real estate broker and Million Dollar Listing star Fredrik Eklund, Joyce describes her own style as "typically a warm modern with a pop of funky colors."
