In this country, Ernest Hemingway is best known for taking up residence on Key West, but, in fact, he completed some of his best work, including For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and the Sea and A Movable Feast, at his villa in Cuba. Known as Finca la Vigia, the house was purchased by Hemingway in the 40s and remains nearly exactly as Papa left it. [A Headlong Dive]
