High quality finishes abound and the near-perfect condition of this home is bound to impress potential buyers.

This aging gentleman's farm outside of Philadelphia comes in slightly under budget, at $3.35M, but some deferred maintenance and general condition issues mean this place will require a substantial renovation. Set on 107 acres, Plumb Meadow Farm consists of a series of historic buildings, including a stone main house that dates from 1770 and houses five bedrooms and four bathrooms. While the house is certainly charming, buyers here are really buying into the land, with a chance to improve this historic home to the level one might expect at this price point.

This rough-and-tumble cottage, dating to the 1970s, doesn't look like much, but the waterfront location on Martha's Vineyard, off of Cape Cod, earns this place a $3.5M price tag...or attempts to anyway. Despite having just one acre, just two bedrooms and two baths, and just 1,700 square feet, the place is still asking quite a hefty price. Of course, this sort of casual summering is commonplace on the Vineyard, even for those who could afford much larger, grandiose homes in, say, Atlanta or Seattle.
