The longtime star of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Mariska Hargitay has decided to put down roots within her on-screen jurisdiction, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The residuals-rich Hargitay plunked down some $10.7M for a six-bedroom, nine-bath townhouse, which was recently renovated by Magnum Real Estate Group, who paid $4.4M in 2009, a couple more million into the reno, and then listed for $12.5M. Magnum didn't get their magic number, but still managed to flip for nearly double. Still, the actress and her large family are getting a Manhattan dream home, with "elevator, private garden with a built-in grill area, a sun room, two terraces, library, plus a full-floor master suite with a home office, marble bathroom, steam shower" and a glassy penthouse.
