Michael J. Fox's Former Vermont Farm Now Listed for $2.75M

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Woodstock, Vt.
Price: $2,750,000
The Skinny: Built in 1817, the brick Federal main house on this 121-acre Vermont horse farm was said to have been paid for using the winnings from the Louisiana lottery, hence the name, Lottery Hill Farm. In 1988, the property was purchased by movie star Michael J. Fox, who added three-bedroom cape-style guest house. Today, the impeccably maintained estate is listed for $2.75M, but has been on and off the market for years. In 2010, it was asking $3.985M, but even that price was the result of a price chop from the original $5.3M. That means any buyer that jumps now will get the 16-room mansion, more than 100-acres of Vermont countryside, and a celebrity pedigree for nearly half price.
