While perhaps not quite as thick and luscious as one might have hoped, City Modern, the mini shelter magazine from the editors of Dwell and New York Design Hunting, debuted this week. The issue came free to Dwell and New York subscribers and will also be sold on newsstands as a supplement to coincide with "Archtober," NYC's citywide architecture and design festival each October.

Inside are interviews with architecture critic Alexandra Lange, restaurateur Andrew Tarlow, Guggenheim Museum curator David van der Leer, and others, plus features on various NYC homes, including a positively stunning Brooklyn townhouse that recently won over Curbed NY. Thanks to next month's Dwell Home Tours series, New Yorkers who like what they see can tour them in person. In a non-creepy way, of course. Have a look above.
