Flat Creek Floodwatch

Residents living along Flat Creek in Jackson, Wyoming have a tough choice facing them. The Creek is clogged with ice dams and bound to flood, and 40 or so residents can either let the town cross their property with heavy machinery and absolve the town of any property damage caused while they can break up the ice, or say no and risk having up to 6 inches of water flood their first floor. Some are taking a third route and criticizing the town of forcing them to sign up for "blanket indemnification." [Jackson Hole News and Guide]
