Among the many architectural superlatives of 2012 was Sky City Tower, slated to become the world's tallest building when complete. But big ideas don't always translate into steel and concrete, and today the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat brings word there were only 66 skyscrapers constructed around the world last year, down from 82 in 2011 and 70 in 2010.
