After the blizzard that was December in much of country, crazy cold and lots of clear bluebird days have set in across the West Coast, while the East recovers from a nasty January thaw that ate up much of Christmas' natural snow and more recently froze whatever was left into a bulletproof sheet. A pretty broad swath of on-snow activities went down this week as well, from Whistler Blackcomb's Deep Winter photo challenge to backcountry exploration around Jackson Hole, ski mountaineering races at Aspen, and even Tuff Mudder-style obstacle racing at Stratton. Check it all out with some stellar accompanying photography and a cameo by your favorite Curbed editor in today's edition of This Week In Snow.
