It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, summer rentals for $3,000/week.
? We begin in Osterville with a rather lovely 3BR, 2.5BA designed by architect Reed Morrison. We wrote about the then three year old listing back in May, awarding the sellers a (faux) Tammy Wynette Prize for standing by their asking price. Sure enough, the listing remains on the market for $1.295M, sans pricechop. In the meantime, the residence is available as a rental for $3,000 weekly. The property, surrounded by fields of wild flowers and rolling lawns, sleeps six and is close to both Osterville Village and Dowses Beach.
? Here's a 4BR, 3BA with views of Vineyard Sound in Falmouth Heights. The residence sleeps eight and is available for $3,000 weekly during June and September - the July and August rate is $4,250 a week. The rare Sunday-to-Sunday rental is close to Falmouth Heights Beach, Falmouth Inner Harbor and Kite Park.
? Over on Nantucket, we find a 3BR, 3BA cottage in the historic district. The residence accommodates six and is available for $3,000 a week or $12,000 a month. The property is a 20 minute walk to Jetties Beach and just a two minute walk to the top of downtown Main Street.
? Now over to Martha's Vineyard, where we find a 4BR, 2.5BA overlooking Menemsha Pond. The Chilmark residence is on a secluded dirt road and features a well equipped kitchen and access to two town beaches. The property accommodates eight and is available for $2,950 a week.
? Finally, to Provicetown, where we find a 3BR, 2.5BA townhouse with ocean views. The 1,900 sq. ft. residence sleeps six and is available for $2,900 a week, with higher rates during July 4, Bear Week, Family Week, and Carnival Week.
