Medical Marijuana on the Vineyard; Heritage Sands Delayed

MARTHA'S VINEYARD - Police are concerned that recreational tokers might take advantage of the new law legalizing medical marijuana by using faux doctor's notes and the like. According to an Oak Bluffs police Lieutenant, "If they show us something [a note] that looks authentic, we would probably have to send them on their way. If it looks bogus, I imagine we would cite them with a civil fine." So noted. [The Martha's Vineyard Times]
DENNISPORT - "Construction of Heritage Sands, the upscale cottage colony planned for the former Grindell's RV Park property on Old Wharf Road in Dennisport, has been delayed." The arrested development has been brought on by the Dennis Conservation Commission's order for yet another two week continuance of the project. [GateHouse News Service]
