Sarah Burke Foundation

The husband of the late Sarah Burke, the pioneering freeskier who helped halfpipe skiing into the Oympics but then died tragically in a halfpipe training accident last year, has recently set up a foundation in her name. The Sarah Burke Foundation will raise money for athletic scholarships as well as the varied others causes Burke supported through merchandise sales branded with the skier's name. [Summit Daily News]
