Location: Austin, Texas
Price: $6,000,000
The Skinny: In April, retired cyclist/supervillain Lance Armstrong bought this Arthur Andersson-designed compound on Lake Austin for $4.34M. Six weeks after closing, in July, he sold the property to race car driver Bret Curtis for an undisclosed sum. Now, three months later, the estate is back on the market asking $6M. (Is this place haunted or something?) The modern 12,553-square-foot mansion was "inspired by the style and traditions of the Cistercian Abbeys of Europe," and there are three other structures in the compound's 3.6 acres, including a very modern-looking boat house accessible by a 200-foot steel cabled bridge. Other highlights include a large in-ground pool (just like in a Cistercian Abbey), sports court, home theater, and art studio.
