The Skinny: The Flying Horse Ranch in Jefferson, Colo., is hitting the auction block today with a minimum bid of $6.5M. The 3,688-acre ranch is located high in the Colorado grasslands and is an outdoorsperson's paradise, with a bounty of amenities such as a fish camp with two canvas tents on platforms, two 20-acre lakes and a mile of Jefferson Creek, wetlands, native elk herds, sub-irrigated fields for hay, a big game hunting ranch, and a working cattle ranch. As for living arrangements, the estate features a 10,771-square-foot white cedar log lodge, originally built in British Columbia and reconstructed here. It has everything one would expect from a lodge of this size—pool table, bar, vaulted ceilings antique furniture, leather daybed—as well as some things one might not, like the 10-foot-tall fireplace with a hand-carved mantel. Other structures on the property include a two lakefront cabins, a ranch house, and a new 7,492-square-foot log barn. If you've got at least $6.5M and you also know how to run a cattle ranch, act quickly—time is already running out.
