The Skinny: This modernist Sagaponack home designed by the late Charles Gwathmey was listed back in February for $24M, a price that proved too steep even for Hamptons buyers. Also, the consensus seems to be that renovations have stripped the interiors of the character that Gwathmey orginally imbued them with. "Any authentic modernism has been 'suburbed' right out of the house," writes one Curbed Hamptons commenter. Still, the exterior is fully intact and the house sits on 2.5 acres of land, in close proximity to the ocean, with a heated pool and tennis court. The new asking price of $21M might just do the trick.
