Lake Tahoe Gets Pounded With First Big Storm of Season

Lake Tahoe has received about 6-12 inches of fresh snow Monday morning with more in the forecast. As of this morning South Lake reported about 6 inches, Truckee measured in at 8 inches, and Sugarbowl seems to be the big winner with 14 inches at the base and 18 inches up top. Powder experts at Open Snow predict another 1-3 inches by Tuesday morning, with a few isolated heavy snow bands that could provide a powder surprise. Wax those skis quick, many Tahoe resorts open in November.
