Ridiculous Beefs

A Utah lawmaker wants to change the official state tree from the Colorado blue spruce to the aspen, arguing that Utah should not have the same state tree as Colorado. State Senator Ralph Okerlund doesn't like that the word Colorado is in the blue spruce name because the two states compete in tourism. Apparently the aspen tree would be a better fit. Did anyone tell Mr. Okerlund that there's also a very famous, high-end ski town in Colorado named Aspen? [Denver Post]
