Vail resorts is preparing to battle Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) with big bucks, about $5 million. The legal battle is over a land dispute between the Toronto-based Talisker Corporation and PCMR. Talisker is attempting to evict PCMR, contending that their lease expired, but PCMR believes that there were assurances that the lease would be extended. After partnering with Talisker, it's now Vail Resorts' problem and expanding into Utah won't come cheap. Vail Resorts expects to spend over $7 million in Utah in combined litigation and integration expenses in the next fiscal year.
