Last week, we mentioned that Julie Carlson, Cape Cod native and co-founder of Remodelista, spent her first gig cleaning the back-on-the-market Lilly Saarinen House. This week, Carlson is in the New York Times discussing not Remodelista's book release, but her childhood home, "a modest but elegant, mid-19th century white clapboard near the main street of Wellfleet." Our favorite line? Carlson's mother's take on home decor, "...if something looked too perfect or fixed up, she would fret that it was looking 'too much like Chatham.'"
