The Omni Mount Washington Resort was just named one of the 38 Essential Ski Town Hotels, so Curbed Ski decided to check out what else is happening this season at New Hampshire's largest ski resort, Bretton Woods. In its 40th year of operation, Bretton Woods is currently in the third phase of a $2.25 million development. The resort has added 40 new snow guns and upgraded 20 others, so New England skiers can expect the resort to open earlier than previous years. Nordic skiers will appreciate new trails and last year's addition of the Mount Stickney Cabin. Die-hard skiers probably won't care much about the zip line upgrades to the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour, but their kids might. And although the Omni Mount Washington Resort is already one of the best of the best, the resort is also renovating meeting facilities, constructing a new fitness center, and redoing the indoor pool area. Bretton Woods plans to open this Thursday, November 14, with two lifts and five trails.
