Curbed Ski is finishing up Renter's Week 2013 with a look at three of the best ski bum rentals in Colorado. There's already a handy guide for how to rent a snow pad, but unless you want to stay in this sweet 1971 Shasta motorhome, you need some specific examples of decent places to rent. These places go fast, but we have three examples for under $1000 per month that give you some privacy and digs near the ski resorts. They may not be fancy, but they are a heck of a lot better than renting a top bunk in Aspen for $650.
↑ Steamboat Campground is a nice spot just a few minutes from town that offers fully furnished cabins to renters for the winter season for only $795 per month. There is a small kitchenette, TV, and bathroom as well as a sleeping loft with two queen-sized beds. [Winter Rental Cabin via Craigslist]
↑ This one bedroom unit in Dillon is on the pricier end at $950 per month, but it is partially furnished and comes with loads of amenities. This location can't be beat, as its close to Keystone, Frisco, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, and Lake Dillon. Ski bums never know where they might end up working so this condo would provide tons of options. [! bedroom via Craigslist]
↑ Another nice rental in Steamboat for only $800 per month, this 2 bedroom is within walking distance to public transit, downtown, and hiking trails. Steamboat is one of the more reasonable towns to live the ski bum lifestyle, so rentals like these are a dime a dozen. [2 bedroom via Craigslist]
